What is Salvia Divinorum?

Salvia divinorum, also known as diviners sage or Maria Pastora is a member of the sage family and is native to Oaxaca Mexico. Containing Salvinorin A, a natural psychotropic compound that has been said to be one of the most potent in existence, Salvia Divinorum as been used over the years by Maztec shamans in healing and visionary ceremonies.

Is Salvia Divinorum Safe?

Like many things, it's not the substance, but what is done with the substance that determines safety. When using Salvia D for incense or otherwise it is important to respect two things: the amount that is used and to always have another sober, uninhibited person near by as a sitter. In the centuries that Salvia has been used by the Maztec Indians, it was only a small percentage of the population that actually used the herbal blend. The others were near to insure safety.

Is salvia legal?

Absolutely. Salvia is legal to own and purchase in the majority of the US (please check each states legal status prior to purchasing) and most countries around the world. Exceptions are Australia, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Italy. We also do not ship to France and Spain due to various laws with regard to the importation of dried plant matter.

Will I get in any trouble or will my name be added to a "list" for ordering salvia?

No. If the government were to track the tens of thousands of people that order Salvia online, in stores or through mail each day, they would have a list of a good percentage of the entire US population in no time. For this reason, similar to tracking the people who buy caffeine pills, it just doesn't make sense.
